Unit 1: Introduction.
Let's get to know each other!
Let's get to know each other!
Suggestions.
Let's get to know each other. Ask me whatever you want to know about me, then read my storyboard. If your question gets no answer there, we'll discuss it in our course forum!
Dig deeper.
I am a graduate of Moscow State Linguistic University. I qualified in 2014 as an applied linguist but turned out to be a teacher at heart.
And so that to make my tasks methodologically right and innovative I entered a magnificent and mind-altering distance-learning program 'Modern Approaches to Teaching Foreign languages' of the Moscow State University in 2020.
That is why I was blown away from my major, which I never regretted as I love to spend time preparing fun and engaging activities for my students.
Now I'm ready to lead you to a beautiful world of English! First, let's check if you got some words right.
2. Find your class glossory here. Fill in the form using the example, add 1 word/phrase from the text each.
First create an avatar, using bitmoji.com.
Make a storyboard about yourself using Jamboard. To produce a story answer to these questions: What is your name? What is your hobby, or what do you like to do in your free time? What is your guilty pleasure (=the thing you like doing but which may sound a little strange to other people)? What do you hate doing? Check out my storyboard on Padlet (find it below).
Save your project as a picture and publish it on Padlet. Double click or push "+" button to upload your picture.
Like and comment the stories of your peers. Choose those class mates you have something in common with and discuss the things that unite you.
And now we realy can't wait to get to know you!
Deadline: 08.09.
Lesson 2. Find out about the course.
The first thing you will learn in this course is to doubt. It's not good to trust whatever information you find in the Internet. You should always doubt and check the information before using it.
1. Find out about the course and the tasks you are to complete.
2. Get to know the guidelines on how to check the sources you find with a RADAR. Use this to question all the information I give you in this cource.
3. Get your Google account to register on all the platforms you will need during the course.
Reflection.
