All Angry Crow arrows are made personally by Barry Du-Crow using Port Orford Cedar shafts using the methods set out below
All Angry Crow arrows are made personally by Barry Du-Crow using Port Orford Cedar shafts using the methods set out below
Shafts are selected for weight and spine to 8gns and 4 lbs spine using the Bearpaw electronic spine checker . The shafts are then straightened, sanded and cut to the required length. After this the pile ends are formed using a roller crush tool to give a perfect fit to the parallel piles. The nock ends are then ground. The piles and nocks are fitted and the shafts given the first coat of a 2 pack varnish. Once dry the shafts get a light sand down and a second coat of varnish. Another check for straightness and are then fletched. Once this is complete they are weighed and spine checked and marked with the details. A final check for straightness before being shipped.
