FAQ's
What are patient care hours?
Patient care hours (PCH) are any hours paid or volunteered where you have direct contact with patients. Becoming a CNA is the most common way to obtain these hours.
How many patients care hours do I need?
Majority of programs require a minimum of 1,000 PCH.
What major do I have to be to be Pre-PA?
A wonderful part of becoming a Pre-PA student is that you can major in anything you want as long as you meet the pre-requisite courses. Health majors usually just have the biggest course overlap for prerequisites.
Do I have to go PA school as soon as I graduate?
No. In fact, taking a gap is very common! During your years off of school, it allows time for you to build up your resume and gain PCH.
