The Arch Photo Lab is reserved only for students in the School of Architecture to use. The room is available for reservations or last minute appointments for those who have completed an authorization for that semester. A Signed responsibility waiver is required when checking out the room. The Photo Lab can be reserved and checked out through the front desk of the FabLab during open hours.
Faculty can reserve the room to be open for extended periods of time so students can come and go. Please email Christian, cdo4@uic.edu to arrange such reservation.
In order to be able to check out the room, you must complete an in-person training session every fall semester with a lab specialist. Reach out to Christian for more information and to schedule your authorization.
To check out the Arch Photo Lab stop by the lab during open hours to reserve or check out the phot lab key.
Overnight access is allowed but the key must returned to FabLab or Office front desk by 9:00am the following morning. TBD on overnight key drop box.
If you lose or damage the key it will result in a $50 fine and lack of access to the photo lab for the remainder of the year.
Do not venture out side of the designated Arch Photo Lab boundaries.
Do not vandalize the room or anything stored in the room.
Do not touch any of the models being stored in the room.
Do not use any pedestal, cart, or table not designated for photo lab use.
Make sure the door is closed and locked after leaving. Careful, the door can lock behind you.
Anyone who you invite into the Arch Photo Lab is your responsibility.
Violation of lab policies will result in the lab closure for all students for the remainder of the year.
