1. On this day sons and daughters visit their mothers and bring to them flowers and little presents. Children do the housework and cook some tasty dishes.

2. People put pumpkins on the window-sills. They draw eyes, a nose and a mouth on the pumpkins and put a candle inside it. The children go from house to house and say

“Trick or treat”. They get money, sweets and cakes.

3. In April there is a holiday for fun. It is on the 1^st of April. On that day children like to play jokes and tricks on other people.

4. People over the world bring beautiful fir-trees to their homes and decorate them with bright toys and lights. Children have parties in their schools. They dance, sing and recite poems.

5. There is one more popular holiday in spring. People celebrate it in April or in early May. It is always on Sunday. The people have Easter eggs and paskhas.

UKRAINIAN NATIONAL SYMBOLS

Ukraine has got a long history. The word Ukraine was first mentioned in the 12th century. It was a geographical name for the land in the south of Kyivan Rus.

In old times the Ukrainian people used the blue and yellow colours in their national symbols. The colours of our flag are blue and yellow. Some people say that they are the colours of the golden sun and cloudless blue sky.

The Golden Trident is our state emblem. It is the symbol of the Holy Trinity.

The anthem of Ukraine «She lives on our Ukraine» was written and put to music by Verbytsky and Chubinsky in the 19th century.

Вправа 4 ст. 167 - вам треба згадати та закріпити порядкові числівники! Прям вивчити напам'ять!

Вправа 2 ст. 169 (усно) - потрібно прочитати 3 частини тексту, перекласти усно , і встановити відповідність між текстом та картинками, які зображені у вправі.

Вправа 7 ст. 171 (письмово) - потрібно переписати лист Тоні , вставивши пропуски у реченнях. Наприклад, ( пишу початок листа) :

Тому після перегляду даного відео ми можемо перейти до виконання вправи 1 ст. 174 ( усно) - за зразком потрібно розповісти про свято і чим люди зазвичай займаються в цей день. Користуйтеся двома поданими таблицями у вправі).

Вправа 5 ст.175 (письмово) - написати діалог, заповнивши пропуски. Користуйтеся словами із таблиці).

Вправа 8 ст.176 (письмово) - переписати, відкривши дужки.

Пропоную продивитися і прослухати веселу пісеньку про День Святого Валентина. Вона легко запам'ятовується, тому бажаючі її можуть вивчити напам'ять ( але це не обов'язково!)
