Cougar Promise is a grant assistance program that only incoming freshmen can apply for. This program covers tuition and mandatory fees for eligible students with family incomes below $65,000 and provides tuition support for eligible students with family incomes between $65,000 and $125,000. The Dean of Students Office offers loans of up to $500 to help students navigate unplanned emergencies. Due to the virtual nature of classes and other happenings, the DOS office is able to process an emergency loan request remotely. Click to learn how to apply!
These options include
Installment Pay Plan: This plan is available to any student unable to pay the full amount due by the university due date.
Emergency Deferment Plan: This plan defers the payment of all the current semester's tuition and mandatory fees. (non-housing students)
Short-Term Deferment Plan: This plan defers the payment of all the current semester's tuition and fees. (housing students only)
Book Loans: This plan, found on the optional fee page at myUH, provides students with a short term book loan to assist in buying books.

This is a $1,000 tuition rebate given to undergraduate students who are graduating. Students must meet the eligibility requirements for the rebate and must apply before graduating. One major requirement is that students must not take more than 3 credit hours of the minimum requirement to complete their degree (e.g., if your degree plan says you only need 120 credit hours to graduate, you can not take more than 123 credit hours).
