PE May 4-8

K-2 Daily Workouts May 4-8

Monday: Today is May the 4th. May the fourth be with you! A national Star Wars lovers holiday. The workout today is Star Wars themed. There is a workout for Jedi’s and a workout for the dark side! Choose either or do both!

Tuesday: Run around the house as many times as you can in 1 minute. If you can not, run in place for 1 minute. 10 frog jumps! Squat down on all fours and bounce straight up like a frog. 25 wall push ups! Superman! Lay flat on belly with arms straight out over head. Lift legs and arms off ground like flying Superman. Hold this for 20 seconds, do 3 times. Take a bike ride with your parents!

Wednesday: Tic-Tac-Toe You will need two players for this game, you can use more if you’d like and make it a relay race. There should be a home base and a tic-tac-toe grid at least 10 feet apart from one another. Each team needs three objects, such as a bandana or something that will not bounce out of the tic-tac-toe grid when you drop it in. On “Go” each player must race to the grid with one of their objects and drop it in a space that is empty on the grid. Then race back and grab another object and do the same. You will do this until all three of your objects are on the grid. Once all three objects are on the grid, you still must race back and touch your home base before racing back to the grid. When you return to the grid with all of your objects already on the board, you move one that is on the grid to another location with the goal of getting three objects in a straight line!

Thursday: Balance challenge! Challenge someone in your home to see who can stand on one foot the longest. Then try with eyes closed. Jump like a bunny around the house! Jump as high as you can 25 times.

25 wall push ups! Like push ups on the ground, but standing up. Let’s work on those abs! Give me 15 sit ups. Go for a walk with your parents!

Tuesday: Find something just out of reach around the house in a safe place, and jump and touch it 50 times! Balance on 1 foot with your eyes closed for 1 minute, switch feet and balance for another minute! Superman! Lay flat on belly with arms straight out over head. Lift legs and arms off ground like flying Superman. Hold this for 20 seconds, do 3 times.

Drop and give me 10! 10 push ups. Let’s work on those abs! 15 sit ups. 1 minute plank. (DO THIS WHOLE WORKOUT TWICE. Take a minute break in between) Take a bike ride with your parents!

Thursday: Jump rope, or pretend to jump rope, for one minute! 15 lunges 50 small arm circles Drop and give me 10! 10 push ups. Let’s work on those abs! 15 sit ups. 1 minute wall sit. (DO THIS WHOLE WORKOUT TWICE. Take a minute break in between) Create an obstacle course in the house and think of creative ways to travel through it!
