BRIEF HISTORY
The UEP-PRMCC has undergone several stages of development since its inception in 1947 as the Catubig Junior High School (CJHS) which shortly became the Catubig Municipal High School (CMHS) in 1951. Few years after, it was converted to Catubig National Rural High School (CNRHS) in November 1958 by virtue of Republic Act No. 1904.
In about two decades the then rural high school was transformed into an agricultural school through Republic Act No. 6206 and was called the Pedro Rebadulla Memorial Agricultural School (PRMAS) in honor of its philanthropic founder and former mayor of Catubig, Don Pedro Orbita Rebadulla. On January 1, 1980 it gained the status of tertiary level institution and was renamed Pedro Rebadulla Agricultural College. (PRMAC)
A CHED mandate through Special Provision No. 2 of Republic Act No. 8745 integrated PRMAC into the University of Eastern Philippines on 2001.
From its simple beginning secondary school and later as an agricultural school, it metamorphosed into what it is known how as the UEP-Pedro Rebadulla Memorial Campus. At present, it offers five curricular programs: Education, Agriculture, Criminology, Industrial Technology, Hotel and Restaurant Management, and maintains a Laboratory High School. This is in response to the changing times and the demands brought about by development in the countryside.
Like any historical triumphs, that of UEP-PRMC also came out as a cooperative endeavor of many individuals who made their share into what it is now. Of prime role are its leaders. Its first Secondary School Principal was Raymundo C. Figuracion who served from 1947 to 1958 (CJHS/CMHS) followed by Jose T. Dela Cruz who served as Vocational Secondary School Principal from April 1 1959 to August 31, 1960 (CNRHS). Vicente A. Orque came next as Vocational Secondary School Principal who assumed office on September 1, 1960 to July 15, 1966 (CNRHS) followed by Maximo F. Valenzona who served as Vocational Secondary School Principal on July 16, 1966 until October 22, 1973 (CNRHS). He was followed by Nicasio T. Domingo Jr. who served for barely a year, from September 1, 1974 to July 15, 1975 (CNRHS). Catalino C. Aldeosa came next and became the first Vocational School Administrator on July 16, 1975 to December 31, 1981 and was promoted to Vocational School Superintendent from January 1, 1982 until February 12, 2001 (PRMAS/PRMAC) before the institution became UEP Satellite Campus.
Dr. Rodulfo T. Galit Sr. was appointed Vocational School Superintendent II on May
16, 2001 and on May 16, 2002, he was reclassified to College Administrator II and currently serving as the Executive Director of UEP-PRMC.
Through the years, the institution has committed itself to uplifting the condition of the people through its four-fold mandate of instruction, research, extension and production.
