We'll be staying at the Amani Gardens Inn, a small lodge in the Westlands neighborhood of Nairobi.
Amani Gardens is peaceful, clean, simple and has all we need. Staff are super kind and attentive and will do whatever we want.
There are washers (and maybe dryers). You have to use tokens that the hotel gives you - they cost a small amount.
There are also bottles of water in several locations - so bring a water bottle to fill! Ideally a large one. You should probably use that filtered water to brush your teeth if you want to be really cautious (I used tap water last year and didn't get sick, but some women had tummy-troubles and it could have been from tap water).
Our meals will be fairly simple - but substantive and healthy. Dietary restrictions, sensitivities and allergies will be accommodated.
You do need to bring your own adapters for electronics. This one is a good choice as you can use it in any country in the world. I don't believe there are hairdryers there - so definitely bring your own if you need one.
