About Our Team

UCSC MEDLIFE was founded in 2017-2018, by Alyssa Rodriguez alongside  a few other executive members. 

For the last eight years we have extensively volunteered across the city of Santa Cruz, while providing aid in Latin America. Our members have attended  8 Service Learning Trips (SLT) and 1 Virtual SLT. In those 8 SLTs we can account for sending 139 volunteers abroad. The locations we have volunteered in are:

 Cusco and Lima, Peru 

Riobamba, Ecuador

San Jose, Costa Rica

Not only have we provided aid up close but also from afar, over the last three years we have raised $12,255.36, through MEDLIFE fundraising campaigns such as: Ignite the Light and Moving Mountains. 

It has been eight years since MEDLIFE came to Santa Cruz, since 2018 we have had 42 Executive Board Officers. We would like to thank each one of them for all they have done for MEDLIFE and our club over the years.
