Allies
The Allies are a group of trained graduate student volunteers who offer confidential support to our peers. We are familiar with on- and off- campus resources and can help our fellow students find and utilize them.
Confidentiality
Our services are 100% confidential, within the limits of California law. As long as we meet as friends outside of work, we are not responsible employees under Title IX. This means that we are not required to report incidents of sexual discrimination, assault, or harassment to the Title IX office as long as we are not at work when we learn about the incident. However, we are mandated reporters, meaning we must report observed or suspected child or elder abuse and we must call 911 if someone is in immediate danger.
