Teresa received her bachelor’s degree in psychology as well as a substance abuse counseling certificate at the University of Cincinnati in 2011. She worked as a Clinical Research Coordinator at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center from 2011-2014. Recently, she graduated from the University of Cincinnati with her doctorate in Clinical Psychology. Her dissertation focused on the role of lifetime stress on the relation between socioeconomic status and health behaviors. She completed her clinical internship training at Children’s Hospital Colorado, focusing on treatment, assessment, and research to improve the wellbeing of children with developmental disabilities and their families.
Currently, Teresa is a postdoctoral fellow at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. Related to research, Teresa's research interests broadly include partnering with communities to promote health equity and wellbeing. She is working with a multidisciplinary research team to develop a measure, which assesses the accessibility of arts and entertainment organizations for children with developmental disabilities and their families. Clinically, Teresa is passionate about providing assessment and intervention services to children with developmental and related disabilities and their families. She also serves as an instructor and group supervisor for multidisciplinary trainees apart of the Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and related Disabilities (LEND).
