Angel is a third-year doctoral student in the Clinical Psychology program at the University of Cincinnati. He is recipient of the University of Cincinnati Albert C. Yates Fellowship and a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Health Policy Research Scholar. He completed his Bachelors degree in Psychology from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County.
Born in Guatemala, Angel's research interests include advancing the health of immigrant and Spanish-speaking communities through mixed-methods and community engaged research. Angel is currently working on his masters project titled CUIDE: Contemporary Understanding of Immigrants Deportation Experiences.Â
Clinically, Angel is interested in providing pediatric and clinical services in English and Spanish within healthcare settings.
