Jamie Hardy-Besaw, M.P.S.

Jamie is a second-year doctoral student in the Clinical Psychology program at the University of Cincinnati. She is a recipient of the University of Cincinnati Albert C. Yates Fellowship. She completed her bachelor’s in psychology with a minor in peace studies at The Ohio State University. She also completed her masters in professional studies at the University of Maryland in clinical psychology. 


Jamie is currently a graduate research assistant on a grant funded by Americorp working with refugees and immigrants. Her research interests include qualitative and mixed methods community based participatory research with refugees and immigrants. She plans to use her conduct projects identifying the impact of CBPR on co-researchers and how multilingual therapists and clincians can be best prepared to work with refugee and immigrant populations. She is Honduran and fluent in Spanish and aspires to be a bilingual clinican.
