Sofia is a first-year doctoral student in the Clinical Psychology Program at the University of Cincinnati. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Spanish from Case Western Reserve University in 2025. Prior to beginning her doctoral training, Sofia worked as a Clinical Research Coordinator at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, where she contributed to community-engaged and pediatric behavioral health research.
Sofia’s research interests center on improving the accessibility and cultural responsiveness of care for underserved youth and families. She is particularly interested in community-engaged research with immigrant and Latino families and developing culturally responsive interventions for Spanish-speaking communities in the United States. She’s also interested in to providing services as a clinician in both English and Spanish
