This workshop allows participants to share strategies to remotely engage writers. We will discuss ways to use multimodal composition to encourage critical thinking and develop writing skills in the online classroom. We will acknowledge the challenges of remote teaching and share strategies for creating an engaging, inclusive learning experience. Attendees will leave with ideas to implement, tools to use, and tactics to employ in their own composition classrooms. While it is not necessary to bring anything to this workshop, attendees who have ideas for multimodal projects, or who have writing assignment prompts they would like to "multimodalize," are welcome to bring any relevant materials.
