Membership

Subscriptions are £15 per year for adults, £5 for Juniors plus, following the recent AGM, £3 each time you attend (£2 for Juniors/ Under 18's). Substantial discounts are available for monthly, 6 monthly and yearly payments.

Our membership year runs July to June but please come along to see if you like it before joining, we're not that pushy, though obviously we'll take the money if you offer it!

To play in official over the board league matches it is necessary to be a club member and to join the English Chess Federation..  Under club rules you need to join the ECF before the 4th game, you will not be able to play otherwise, but you only become liable for the ECF membership then anyway...so basically you can play 3 matches without being an ECF member.

Current members are of all standards and all ages...there's no correlation between the two so you really will find someone interesting to play, someone to talk to and a relaxed atmosphere.  It's not a library.
