FAQ

1. What is the date of the conference?

TBA Summer 2024. Email edhsu@hs.uci.edu and amrad@hs.uci.edu for planning a specific conference workshop for your group.

2. What is the location of the conference

3. What should I do for parking?

If you are a UCI employee, your parking permit should be used. If you are not a UCI employee please email amrad@uci.edu and edhsu@hs.uci.edu so we can make accommodations.

4. Will food be provided?

Yes. A light breakfast and lunch will be provided. You will have the opportunity to inform us of your dietary restrictions on the google form you will use for RSVP.

5. Will CME credits be offered?

Yes completion of this conference workshop is worth 8.0 CME credits.

6. How much is the conference?

$1000 per individual. Email edhsu@hs.uci.edu for possible group rate discount

7. Do we have to bring our own ultrasound machines?

No. Butterfly and Mindray machines will be provided.

8. Can we bring our own ultrasound devices?

Yes, you can if you want to practice scanning with your own ultrasound device.

9. How do I submit payment for the conference?

If you are a UCI employee: email Alodia Batista at aebatist@hs.uci.edu to coordinate internal department billing or submit a check. Make the check payable to UC Regents, and mail it to the Department of Emergency Medicine. Attn: Cecile Nguyen, Administrative Assistant University of California, Irvine. 3800 W. 10. Is there a refund after submitting the payment?

Unfortunately, since we limit the number of participants allowed to enroll for individualized training we are unable to provide a refund, however, you can apply your payment to future UCI ultrasound workshops or programs

13. What is the nearest airport?

Santa Ana John Wayne airport (SNA) is 10 miles away, Long Beach Airport (LGB) is 18 miles away and Los Angeles (LAX) is 34 miles away. 

14. What lodging do you recommend?

Thanks to the close proximity to Disneyland and multiple tourist activities, the UCI Medical Center is surrounded by numerous hotels and Airbnb. Please check with your preferred travel website and let us know if you need any specific recommendations.
