SBA Volleyball
The Student Bar Association is kicking off the semester with a night of sand volleyball, and everyone is invited. Whether you played in undergrad or have never set foot on a court, this is a low-pressure, all-skill-levels event built around meeting people rather than keeping score. Teams will be put together on the spot, so there's no need to sign up with a group — just show up and jump in.
It's also a chance to meet the SBA officers outside of class. We'll be there all evening to introduce ourselves, answer questions about what SBA does, and share what's coming up this year. Free refreshments will be provided; bring a friend or come solo, and stay as long as you'd like.
Wednesday, August 26 · 6:30 PM
615 N Park Ave, Tucson, AZ 85721
The sand courts are located between the Global Center and the Sonora Dorm.
We hope to see you there!

Whether you're a seasoned two-stepper or you've never set foot on a dance floor, this is the perfect chance to unwind, meet your classmates, and start the semester off right. Dust off your boots, grab your friends, and come enjoy a night of good music and good times. We can't wait to see you there!
A Taste of the UA Law Community
Kick off the semester with the Student Bar Association at A Taste of the UA Law Community! Join us on Wednesday, August 12th at 5 PM at No Anchovies, located at 870 E University Blvd, for an evening of pizza and great company.
Presented with the Latine Law Students Association, Arizona Pride Law, the Native & Indigenous Law Students Association, MENASA, the Arizona Law Women's Association, and BLSA, this event is your chance to meet the many student organizations that make UA Law feel like home. Whether you're a brand-new 1L or a returning student, come mingle with classmates and connect with org leaders from across the law school. Grab a slice and come say hi — we can't wait to meet you!
$100 Parking Lot Reimbursements
Through a collaboration with the Parking & Transportation Office, the Graduate and Professional Student Council (GPSC) is offering $100 discounts on annual lot parking permits for the 2026–27 academic year — and law students are eligible to apply.
The discount applies only to lot parking contracts; garage permits do not qualify. You may apply whether you still need to purchase your lot permit or have already bought one.
The application is a short questionnaire that includes a brief statement on how the discount would benefit your graduate experience. Applications open August 4, 2026, at 9:00 AM MST.

Arizona Law Benchmates: Mentorship Program
The Arizona Law Benchmates: Mentorship Program connects incoming 1Ls with experienced 2L and 3L student mentors to help ease the transition into law school. Mentors and mentees are paired based on factors such as background, interests, and professional goals, creating meaningful connections within the Arizona Law community.
This is a flexible, low-commitment program designed to provide incoming students with a trusted resource for questions, advice, and support throughout their first year. Whether discussing classes, student organizations, career opportunities, or simply navigating law school life, mentors help incoming students feel welcomed and prepared for success.
We encourage all upper-level students to consider serving as mentors and helping to make the transition to Arizona Law a positive and rewarding experience.
