When you submit your information and which meeting you represent, you are automatically eligible to vote at the GSR committee meeting.
Only current GSRs are eligible to vote at committee meetings. Members at Large and Board Members may attend, but they may not vote.
To submit motions, email GSRCommittee@underearnersanonymous.org or complete the Motion Submission Form.
Include the following:
Who will present the motion to be discussed?
Include if it is an original motion or amendment to an existing motion
Rationale (why)
What function would be affected?
When will it take effect?
How will it be implemented?
Who will handle these changes?
Yes - if the voted GSR for your meeting is not present or unable to attend, you will have the right to vote in their absence.
You are entrusted by your group to vote based on the group’s conscience. If at all possible, present items from the GSRC at your group’s business meeting.
If your group doesn’t meet before the GSRC goes to a vote, vote based on your conscious contact with your higher power.

A service sponsor is someone who has been doing service at or above the level of where you are in service. This can be someone who has been doing World Service work for a few years or even a few months longer than you.
This is someone you can check in with about spiritual principles or challenges you are facing with giving service.
A helpful service sponsor honors your time and theirs.
They are good about pointing out suggested step items to discuss with your existing UA step sponsor. (i.e. 10th step work, defects, etc.)
Address your issue during the open shares portion of the GSR Committee meeting. This would give you a chance to receive experience from other members who's groups have faced similar issues.
When your group decides on something as being an important issue for the fellowship as a whole, you can bring it as a motion to present at the GSRC. This would become a recommendation from our committee to the fellowship as a whole or whichever committee would be impacted by this motion
Secondly, if a decision is made by a different committee that affects your group, you can encourage your group members to attend that committee’s session. At this time ANY member of UA can attend Board Subcommittee meetings.
ANY UA member can serve on a GSB Subcommittee. A member DOES NOT have to be a GSR to serve on the GSB Subcommittees
Each Subcommittee has its own voting rules.
Only GSRs can vote in GSR subcommittee meetings.
