Welcome to the Friday 3:30 PM EST UA BIPOC gathering.

PRAYER

“God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.”

PREAMBLE

This gathering is intended for Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPoC) in UA.

The purpose of the UA BIPoC Group is to support each other in recovering from underearning through the use of 4 UA Tools, namely, (1) communication; (2) sponsorship; (3) action partners; (4) action meetings. Please do NOT distribute the contact list. If you would like to invite someone to be added to the list, please ask them to email uabipoc@gmail.com with their name, phone number, email address, and location.

TIMING: To best facilitate sharing, we will need a timekeeper. Who would be willing to do that service? [PAUSE]

Shares are for 3 minutes with a 1 minute warning at 2 minutes. Please use audio queues.

UA BIPOC GATHERING CROSSTALK STATEMENT

We do not "crosstalk" in the meeting. Cross talk means interrupting (which includes using reaction buttons and video filters), referring to, or commenting on what another person has said during the meeting. We do not cross talk because Black Indingenous and People of Color come from backgrounds where feelings and perceptions were judged as wrong or defective. In UA, each person may share feelings and perceptions without fear of judgment. We accept without comment what others say because it is true for them. We work toward taking more responsibility in our lives rather than giving advice to others. Please abstain from using the chat for anything other than leaving your contact information for outreach.
