A platformer with a twist on its puzzle, taken inspiration from Braid. Ghosted uses your past movements to solve puzzles.
Your friend has recently passed away and follows you around as a ghost. Using your movement to stand on buttons and push boxes is crucial to serve the ghosts purpose to open doors and let you move forward in the level.
Because the ghost is now beyond this world, he can move through doors and platforms as if they were not there before. With the ghost's close connection to you, he will interact with tools to help you solve these challenging and puzzling levels.
Can you solve these puzzles or will you end up like your friend?
Ghosted simplistic pixel art was created in Adobe Photoshop. With an image by image source, I animated the character to give different movements whether he was running or crouching.
Using Unity I created a deep system to track the players movement and input in order to play it back as a Replay to move your ghost friend along.
Using BOSCA CEOIL I created a unique song along with the theme to enjoy while playing the game.
Development of Ghosted was completed in six days and submitted to the Weekly Game Jam on Itch.io. Such short time requires intense planning and organization.
I used organization tools such as Trello to track progress on required systems and wanted features in order to deliver the finished game by the due date.
