With Inspiration taken from the Binding of Isaac, 100 Coins takes you on a adventure through challenging levels full of various obstacles and enemies to overcome.
With an army of units that chase or spot you with lasers, you must evade their threat by hiding behind bricks and dodging spikes. Wait! Did I forget to tell you also need to collect 100 gold coins?
Defeat the enemies and collect the coins to open the door and proceed to the next room. Progress through rooms unlocking new items like a magic wand or giant green bouncy ball.
100 Coins was submitted to a competitive Jam with 68 different game submissions. 100 Coins Placed 24th overall and 15th in the mechanics category.
Using Adobe Sketch on an iPad pro with apple pencil, I sketched and colored different images to transfer to Adobe Photoshop. Where I animated images giving objects more lively feels, such as the coins, player and door.
Developed in Unity I used C# and created systems for prefabs and designed AI to bring the enemies to life.
With unique sound effects and music with a little help from a friend I created catchy sound tracks to listen along as you explore this exciting adventure packed game.
Development of 100 coins was completed in just one week and submitted to the Weekly Game Jam on Itch.io. Such short time requires intense planning and organization.
Using tools from Trello to Google calendar, I identified important systems and programs and was able to complete them by a set due date to prepare for a finished upload at the end of the week.
