Units of iChoose, iDo and iLead feature John C. Maxwell’s values-based leadership lessons. Each unit covers 4 values, and lessons are divided into 2 parts designed to be done over 8 weekly sessions. iChoose is the first installment among the iLead series and lays a foundation for growth. Use instructions and recommended pacing are provided in the downloadable Educator Guide. Use with students in the 9th and 10th grade.

Pre-Unit Student Survey
A pre-unit survey precedes each unit of iChoose. Have students complete the pre-unit survey for their respective unit prior to beginning the iChoose unit. Advise students to select the unit of iChoose that matches their booklet or digital content.

Preparing to Launch
Prep Week
Review iLead Sponsor’s Guide, iLead Student Facilitator's Guide, Implementation Guide and Launch Plan located under Resources.
Take all students through the iLead Student Facilitator’s Training, set norms/expectations.

Launch
Week 1
Begin iLead lessons following the pacing selected.
Reminder: 30-45 minutes per week. Each value has two lesson parts. Each unit includes 4 values (2 lessons per value = 8 weeks for completion) or use your preferred pacing.
Week 2-8
Continue one lesson part each week (or using your selected pacing) until the unit is complete.
Sponsor (Teacher) should attend one Middle/High Collaboration Session during the semester (see Collaboration Sessions).
