Your Support, Your Success: GLISA Fundraiser

Our mission is to continue providing more great opportunities for you, GLISA Fellows!

With the support of GLISA members and SLIS students/faculty/staff, we are raising money for meaningful events throughout the year. Through these donations, we host free events such as: book clubs, craft nights, socials, and more.

If you would like to/are able to donate, reference the steps below:

Steps:

1. Transfer the desired dollar amount to GLISA's Treasurer, Hannah Hodge, via PayPal: hhodge@twu.edu 

   1. Link: https://paypal.me/HHodgeTWU

   2. The profile photo on PayPal is the maroon and white GLISA logo.

2. Type "GLISA Donation - [First Name Last Name]" in the 'What's this for?' field. 

3. Select "For Friends and Family". 

   1. This ensures we don't incur any fees on donations and 100% of your gift goes to GLISA!

4. Send. You will receive an immediate PayPal receipt, and GLISA will send a confirmation as well.

Thank you for your support in keeping your student organization active! We look forward to hosting many more events this coming year!

Why does GLISA need donations?

In the past, GLISA has relied on three types of funding opportunities to host events for members:

• Donations

• Student Organization Funding from the TWU Pioneer Involvement Team (PIT)

• ALA reimbursements

Unfortunately, for the foreseeable future, ALA will no longer provide reimbursement funds to GLISA chapters, and last funds were received in 2025. Due to changes in policies, GLISA also no longer qualifies for PIT programming or reimbursement funds as on campus programs are required in order to qualify. At this time, being an online-only organization, GLISA only qualifies for operational funds.
