We are the American Library Association student chapter at TWU—the Graduate Library and Information Studies Association (or GLISA for short).
Our mission is to promote social, cultural, intellectual, and professional growth for our student members through various programming, information sharing, scholarships, and networking opportunities.
By joining GLISA, you will be part of a student group that:
Provides networking opportunities and professional contacts within the field of library and information studies both at TWU and elsewhere
Encourages scholarship and professionalism in the library studies field
Offers professional development through webinars and other events
Increases awareness and use of resources, including ALA publications, promotional materials, initiatives, events, scholarships, conferences, and other activities
We hope you will join us as both a participant and a contributor.
GLISA membership is currently free. Eligible students simply complete the Membership Application form here.
Membership requirements are as follows:
Must be currently enrolled as a TWU SLIS graduate student
