Bridge of the Sun Installation

In early December 2022, the art installation on the People's Bridge of the Sun was completed after four weeks of hard work by fifteen people, using three full-size flatbed semi trucks, a crane, and two large boom lifts, and enduring weather challenges, including sun, wind and snow, and sometimes leaning over the river itself!

One challenge was making sure that all the scultptures fit exactly in the openings that had been left when the bridge was construted earlier in the year.

Viewing the results, artist David Ocelotl Garcia said he was amazed and inspired to see how closely the final installation/artwork reflected the original design and vision.
