One of the primary components of TCPC operations was our Events & Projects! Although we featured smaller scale events from month to month, our large-scale events took most of our time and capacity, and also resulted in so many new and renewed connections, memorable moments, and Twin Cities Pole Magic! Click through our Large-Scale Events & Projects below to learn more about each one.
August 2024 | Lake Bde Maka Ska, Minneapolis
What it was: Pole in the Park was our TCPC Launch event, featuring 6 different stage poles all set up near a popular lake in the Summer of 2024. The purpose of the event was to kick-off the collective, connect polers from across studios, and show the community the type of space we wanted to hold.
Attendance: We ended up having 49 people in attendance at this event! We only printed 50 waivers due to city ordinances, and we nearly met this limit with all the attendees out and enjoying community together!
THANKS: A special thanks to @JessicaRabtits_, @Miss Chevious, @Jesse, @Jenni, @Leah, and @Myss Angie for donating Stage Poles to make this event possible! A huge thanks to photographer @LordHamlet73 for snapping all of these awesome photos, and @DJ Leo for keeping the tunes rocking the entire event! Thanks to Jenni for compiling all the videos together into our final TCPC Recap video.
October 2024 | Land of Lakes Pole Competition, MN
What it was: Community Geometry was a free workshop at the Land of Lakes Pole Festival for pole dancers to join together and make cute fun shapes. It was designed as a fun, community building activity to hold a presence at our local competition, while still showing community was about enjoying fun and whimsy too.
Attendance: We ended up with ~9 people in attendance, and rotated through maybe 10 different community poses featured in our final content video!
THANKS: Thanks to all our attendees for participating in this event! Thanks to @Miriam and @Jenni for recording video clips, and Jenni for assembling the final clips into the feature highlight reel.
January 2025 | Studio RAW, St. Paul
What it was: Capturing the Collective was our TCPC Photoshoot happening at Studio Raw in St. Paul, MN! The event featured 5 different photographers and 5 different sets, with 20 pole dancers rotating from set to set taking content with rotating photographers throughout the day! Over 1000 content images were produced from this event alone.
Attendance: We opened space for 20 total participants (which, in retrospect, may have been a bit too many for this space... :-) - and all the sign-up spots filled for this event within 24 hours of being announced.
THANKS: Thanks to our photographers @Starseed Studios, @ClockworkSteve, @LordHamlet73, @ebphoto651, and @sk8ermatt for snapping pictures of us all day! May 2025 | TCPC Member Apt Community Room
What it was: TCPC Swap & Shop was our community event for polers to sell, trade, and bargain off unneeded polewear and everyday garments! Hosted at a community member's apartment community room, we had a blast trying on different pieces, making a few dollars, and spending time in community.
Attendance: About 20 people came and went during the time the event was happening.
THANKS: Thanks to all of the attendees for participating and donating items, and our TCPC Social & Events committee for aiding in set-up & take-down! Thanks to @upsidedown_sam for securing our venue and directing people where to go (and bringing additional mirrors for trying-on purposes). Thanks to our photographer @sleepymovez for capturing all the memorable moments on camera! Thanks to @Jenni for bringing all the unclaimed items to the Peoples Closet at George Floyd Square.
June 2025 | A Parking Ramp in Minneapolis
What it was: Revving on Rooftops was our TCPC videoshoot! We set up a stage pole and some very cool cars on top of a parking garage in Minneapolis and spent the day shooting drone footage both solo and community shots all to be edited and released for online video content!
Attendance: We had about 20 pole dancers who participated in either the solo shoots, or the community group shoot at the end!

February 2026 | Virtual, Collaborative Project
What it was: Clapping Cheeks for the Streets was a 2026 Community Calendar developed in response to the influx of federal agents targeting many different communities in our cities in January of 2026. Many polers felt moved to get involved and make a difference, and an idea was suggested to the group to develop a Community Calendar to raise funds for a community organization doing work to support those being targeted. This idea was an INSTANT HIT, so members of the TCPC community began developing committees and groups to bring this idea to life. The calendar was developed and designed from Feb-March 2026, printed & assembled in April 2026, and distributed April/May 2026.
Attendance & Outcomes: We had 63 pole dancers submit their image to be used in this year long calendar, and ended up raising $2500 in funds from 68 different calendar orders. After subtracting the cost of calendar production, $2056.68 was donated to MIRAC (Minnesota Immigrant Rights Action Committee). If you'd like to read more about the breakdown of funds, you can read so in this post!
THANKS: Thanks to 63 local Minnesota pole dancers for submitting your images to make such a beautiful and breathtaking calendar! The list of thanks for making this project is EXTENSIVE, see image below for a full list of thanks to committee members, photographers, and more.
