The most common and popular option with students and parents, lesson review is when the tutor puts together a lesson plan-like document and goes over/reviews a topic that the student/parent has requested or that the tutor has identified as an area that needs improvement. Generally lasts 30-45 minutes each session, though it can be longer. Most effective when taken in reoccurring sessions.
Another favorite of students and parents, homework help is usually done in 1 of the following 2 types of meetings; a short 10-15 minute meeting where the tutor and student only go over the homework, or in a regular reoccurring meeting where the first half of the meeting is spent on homework while the remaining time is spent on either test review or lesson review.
One of the lesser used options, test review is when a student has an upcoming exam and asks the tutor to help them review for it. About the length of a lesson review session. Not applicable for PSAT, SAT, or ACT prep.
