About Sydney Beaulieu & Turning Point
My name is Sydney Beaulieu, and I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying). I completed my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Nipissing University, followed by my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (MACP) through Yorkville University. This academic foundation, paired with my clinical training, has allowed me to support clients of all ages and backgrounds as they navigate life’s challenges.
I have always been deeply curious about people — about the experiences that shape them, the pain they carry, and the resilience they hold within. Becoming a psychotherapist was a natural path for me because I wanted to create a space where people feel safe to tell their stories, work through their struggles, and discover new ways of being. I believe therapy is not just about healing difficulties, but about helping people reconnect with themselves and live with greater authenticity, purpose, and ease.
I am passionate about offering therapy that is both compassionate and practical. For me, some of the keys to effective therapy include:
Safety & Trust – Healing begins when clients feel truly seen, heard, and safe. I believe therapy must provide a foundation of non-judgmental acceptance where individuals can bring their whole selves.
Collaboration – Therapy works best as a partnership. I don’t view myself as the expert on someone’s life, but rather as a guide walking alongside them as they uncover their own strengths and insights.
Emotional Processing – Real change happens when emotions are not avoided but acknowledged, understood, and integrated. I am passionate about helping clients build healthier relationships with their emotions.
Self-Discovery & Growth – Beyond coping, therapy is about helping people rediscover their values, their resilience, and their capacity to grow into who they want to be.
Creativity & Flexibility – Every client is unique. I believe therapy must adapt to the person in front of me — whether that means using play with children, body-based practices for trauma, or narrative and values work with adults.
Outside of my professional role, I value creativity, family, and balance. I enjoy time in nature, connecting with loved ones, and finding small ways to live authentically each day. These values — compassion, authenticity, and growth — are not only part of who I am, but also the heart of how I approach therapy.
About Turning Point
Turning Point Psychotherapy and Wellness was created out of a vision to offer more than therapy — to offer a place where people can reclaim themselves. The name Turning Point carries meaning at its core: it is the moment when someone decides that life can shift, that pain does not have to define the future, and that there is strength in choosing a new direction.
This practice was founded on the belief that transformation begins in the smallest acts of courage — showing up, speaking the unsaid, or taking one step forward when standing still has felt safer. A turning point is not just a change in circumstance; it is the beginning of healing, of rewriting stories, and of rediscovering possibility.
The purpose of Turning Point is to hold space for those pivotal moments and the journey that follows. It exists for anyone seeking a place where their struggles are met with compassion, their resilience is recognized, and their growth is not only supported but celebrated.
