A Cyber Treasure Hunt team challenge was designed as part of Cyber Scotland Week 2020.
Target age: This task is a little more challenging and aimed at secondary pupils. Any keen primary pupils can have a go, but might need a little more support.
It is advised to pupils work in teams of 4 or they could work in teams of two, each will have to do the work of two hackers.
If you're really stuck you can reach out on turingtesters2.0@dresscode.org.uk for an extra clue.
Task: This is the ultimate team task! Teams must work together to access the four pieces of the puzzle and complete this challenge.
Teachers should download one QR code below for each team and cut it up into at least four pieces. You will need four envelopes for each team as well and put one piece into each envelope.
This one is easy to use. Just give pupils this link below.
bit.ly links are case sensitive. Letters in bold are capitalised.
Teachers should put part of the QR code in an envelope with emoji challenge and the solution on it, another part in an envelope with the navigation challenge solution on it, another part in an envelope with the number challenge solution on it and the final piece in an envelope with the letter challenge solution on it. The purpose of the solution on each envelope means once each four hackers have solved either the emoji, navigation, number or letter challenge they can give you the four clues received. Hacker 1 has the first part of the combination, hacker 2 has the second element of the combination, hacker 3 has the third element of the combination and hacker 4 has the last piece of the combination. If correct they can then receive the corresponding envelope. Once all four envelopes are received the final challenge is piece together the QR code and scan it to complete the challenge.
Right click on the QR code and click save image as to download it.
