EMR Assorted Turbostars

The Class 170 Turbostar is now available in 3 liveries with EMR Regional branding covering some trains transferred to East Midlands Railway from Southern and Transport for Wales during late 2022; as well as a CrossCountry Class 170 used in the summer of 2022. The former Southern units were Class 171s with Dellner couplings meaning that they gained the 170/9 subclass in the time before they had BSI couplings reinstated. The Class 170 Turbostars are part of EMR's plan to standardise the regional fleet and to replace the ageing Sprinter units.
