Train Sim Content

Anything from reskins to patches I make for Train Simulator are available from here.

I've produced freeware content for Dovetail Games's Train Simulator game since 2018. I make patches and reskins that are available to download for free and often based on real designs around the railway network in Great Britain.

Some reskins and patches are also available through Semaphore Simulations. I don't accept requests or suggestions for new content

Changes

Chiltern 68014 reskin

As of 21/04/2024, the MediaFire download for this reskin has now been updated with the missing internal cab textures issue now resolved. If you already have reskin, either follow previous advice below or simply run the .exe from the updated download. 😊

"It has been brought to my attention there is an issue with missing internal cab textures. A change will be made to the reskin and read-me in due course as a result.

In the meantime, if you have already installed the reskin, you will need to copy the Cabview folder from CR_AP and paste it in the TurboTedChiltern68014_AP folder."

The West Midlands Railway Class 365 reskin has been withdrawn.

Notice

Windows may detect some downloads using the newer installation method as "suspicious". Do not worry, all TurboTed content is safe from any malware. Installers are built using the well-trusted ClickTeam install creator.

It's been a long time coming but they finally feel more complete...

These changes were released on 27/02/2024, 07:38 GMT.

Specific changes made:

Chiltern Railways, First Great Western, Great Western Railway, London Midland, Southern, West Midlands Railway 172/0, West Midlands Railway 172/1 and West Midlands Railway Ex Chiltern Railways

The following reskins also had other improvements worth noting:

*Destination list has been altered to include stations around the Bristol area and the Portsmouth-Cardiff corridor instead of Devon & Cornwall stations.

In addition, the London Overground Class 172 patch has also received an internal makeover with the same list of changes as above - Download now from the Train Exteriors & Interiors page.

All content has also been updated to use my newer installation method. You will need to download content again to ensure you get the latest updates. Download now from the Chiltern Railways, First Great Western, Great Western Railway, London Midland, Southern and West Midlands Railway pages.

*as of 12/03/2024, the First Great Western, Great Western Railway, London Midland, Southern, West Midlands Railway 172/0, West Midlands Railway 172/1 and West Midlands Railway Ex Chiltern Railways reskins have now got corrected read-me documents.

A new method of content installation is here.

Instead of copying, pasting and renaming a variety of files in the RailWorks folder which can easily not go to plan and cause issues, files are now included in a .exe installer with manual copying and pasting for only necessary files. A new read-me PDF document format also compliments the installer. The CrossCountry Class 221 Super Voyager reskin was the first to use this method.

Alongside this major update, various content will be reviewed. Some will receive fixes and improvements or may unfortunately get taken down. Due to the nature of some updates, it may be recommended to uninstall or overwrite the previous version. This installation process also makes installing future updates much simpler.
