Fold these

These continuous straight lines help you fold the paper. Not meant to be cut.

Tear these out

Tear along these dotted line perforations to save time on cutting.

1

Open your TuneJoy Chubby Bunny lantern kit

Flip the craft cardstock to the white side to see the folding and perforated lines.

Carefully take all the lantern parts out along the perforated lines. Use the stick (included in kit) to help take out smaller parts.

1 big circle makes up the base of the lantern, 6 narrow strips make up the bunny body, plus 1 more small circle and parts for the ears..

2

Fold the longer string in half and thread both loose ends through the hole in the middle of 1 narrow strip.

Note the loose ends should be on the white side of the paper.

You can tie a knot with the loose ends now, and continue using the loop end of the string to thread through the remaining 5 strips. Or tie the knot after all 6 strips have been threaded through.

With colored sides facing you, thread the small circle on top of all 6 strips

3

Pull the string taut on the colored side of the paper.

Make a cross with each pair of strips. Glue each cross to secure and end up with 3 separate crosses on the string.

This helps you lay the 3 crosses out evenly, so the ends of the strips make up 12 points around a circle, like a clock. Glue the "clock" in the center to secure.

Glue the small circle on top of the "clock". Be sure to pull the string taut.

4

Flip the "clock" so the white side faces up. Fold the ends of the strips along the folding line.

Get the big circle.

If you are adding the bonus tassel and pendant, thread it through the big circle first. Secure with a knot on the colored side of the circle.

See how to make the tassel and pendant here.

5

On the white side of the big circle, there are scoring lines (dented) on the perimeter marking where to glue the folded ends of the strips.

Always glue the ends of the strips to the same side of the scoring lines. For example, align the strips so the scoring line on the big circle is always barely showing on the clockwise side of the strip.

Add glue to a few spots at a time. USE GLUE STICK.

Align the folded ends of the strips flush against the perimeter of the circle, and align with the scoring lines. Press to secure.

Now the 12 points of the clock should be evenly glued onto the big circle.

The body of the bunny is done!

6

Fold the base of the big ear towards colored side.

Align small inner ear to the folded edge and glue on to big ear.

Flip the fold of the bigger ear back to the white side. There's a tear in the middle of the fold to allow the ear to be curved (optional).

Glue big ears to the body of the bunny.

DONE!
