The Tulare County Fair is fast approaching – and there’s a lot to get done. Please read the following carefully and take action where needed.

First off, thank you to everyone who helped make your fundraising dinner a huge success!

💡 Booster  Support Will be Less than Last Year

We’re working hard to support our exhibitors, but we want to be clear:
Funding won't be as strong as last year.

👉 Every exhibitor must actively seek out their own buyer. Here’s how to do that:

• Write a letter to buyers that explains your project, goals, and why someone should support you.

• Deliver it in person whenever possible.

• Follow up with a phone call.

• Think creatively: Ask multiple buyers to team up to buy a half or quarter of your animal.

📌 REMEMBER:
It’s your responsibility to find a buyer. The Boosters do not purchase animals.

🐂 Beef Prices Are HIGH = Great Value for Buyers

Right now, beef prices are at an all-time high, meaning your buyers will get strong value for their dollar. Use that as a selling point.

📣 Push for ADD-ONS!

Add-ons can seriously boost your bottom line.
The more letters you send, the better your chances.

🗓️ DATES & DEADLINES TO REMEMBER

✅ Tuesday, September 9 – Weigh-In Day

• Turn in your Marketing Poster at weigh in or before. A booster volunteer will have a table set up near the livestock office.

• Sign up for your interview time (Interviews will be held Sunday, September 14)

✅ Friday (After the Beef Show)

• Live Weight Ultrasound Carcass Contest

  • Participation is required for all market beef animals shown by Beef Booster participants

  • Results of the contest determines how much Booster added premium money will be given

  • Results of the contest will not be released till AFTER the auction

  • Make sure your animal is market-ready (Buyers expect high quality – Grade Choice or better)

📌 Important:
Buyers who don’t get quality won’t return.
We want happy, repeat buyers – so make sure you’re delivering the best possible product.
