Understanding Electricity in the EKKO: A Practical Guide to Energy Management

This session offers a beginner-friendly introduction to DC and AC electricity, using the EKKO as a hands-on example. We'll explore how and where each type of electricity is generated and consumed onboard, then dive into practical tools—like the Lithionics app, solar panel monitor, Xantrex system, and coach control panel—to track energy flow and build a simple energy budget. Attendees will leave with a clear conceptual framework to confidently manage their power usage, no matter what gear their rig includes.

The Nature Program is a live, interactive reptile exhibit and the perfect opportunity to learn all about Arizona’s wildlife. The park's team of passionate, experienced volunteers will answer questions and show how these animals have adapted to survive in the Sonoran Desert.

Nighttime Stargazing

Join us for a celestial evening as we explore the wonders of the Tucson night sky. From constellations and planets to deep-sky objects and seasonal highlights, this guided stargazing session offers a peaceful and awe-inspiring close to the day. Bring your chairs, bundle up, and meet us out in the middle of the Gila Monster group site for a relaxed, educational experience under the stars. Whether you're a seasoned skywatcher or just curious about what’s overhead, this is your chance to connect with the cosmos in one of Arizona’s most scenic settings.
