Founded in 1952, the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum is widely recognized throughout the world as a model institution for innovative presentation and interpretation of native plants and animals featured together in ecological exhibits. Unlike most museums, about 85% of the experience is outdoors. The 98 acre museum features a zoo, botanical garden, art gallery, natural history museum, and aquarium.
What started out as a working cattle ranch, Arizona Zipline Adventures is deeply rooted in this land. Inspired by the mission to “Enrich community and promote the enjoyment and exploration of the region," AZA not only serves as the site of Arizona's first and fastest Zipline EcoTour, but also a central hub for the northside of Mt. Lemmon.

Summerhaven is named very appropriately considering how many Tucsonans and visitors escape there from the summer heat and to enjoy skiing in the winter. Summerhaven sits at 8,200 feet elevation, approximately 1,000 feet below the peak of Mt. Lemmon, approximately 29 miles north of Tucson. Numerous recreational amenities are offered on the mountain, including hiking, camping, fishing, birding, skiing, sledding and rock climbing.

The Pima Air & Space Museum is one of the largest non-government funded aviation and space museums in the world! Featuring over 400 historical aircraft, from a Wright Flyer to a 787 Dreamliner. Sitting on 80 acres, the museum opened its doors to the public in May of 1976. Over the past forty years the museum has grown immensely and today encompasses six indoor exhibit hangars (three dedicated to WWII).
The Tucson Mountain District of Saguaro National Park ranges from an elevation of 2,180 ft to 4,687 ft and contains 2 biotic communities, desert scrub, and desert grassland. Average annual precipitation is approximately 10.27 in. Common wildlife include the coyote, Gambel’s quail, and desert tortoise.
