Navigation data logging system and tablet based course deviation indicator for aerial survey
Project to support a RSC research effort for NOAA and KoPRI
Development of flight data logger and tablet based course deviation indicator (CDI). System was field deployed successfully on DHC-6 Twin Otter in Spring 2022, and 2023. Another version of this system is deployed on BT-67 Basler in Antarctica in Spring 2024. This project involves:
Integration of VectorNav, F9P GNSS receiver, RPi logger and camera controller
Integration of system with 2 DoF gimbal developed in 2023
Development of tablet CDI GUI application using .NET framework
