Synopsis:
Over a span of ten hours in Fresno, California, Jo-Jo, a 10-year-old latchkey child, navigates the city on his scooter. Throughout his adventure, he encounters a variety of individuals whose lives intersect as they confront issues of race, stereotypes, relationships, and what some refer to as "hood-habits." Among the characters are: the Mexican landscapers grappling with the immigrant versus citizen dynamic, a husband and wife struggling in a sexless marriage, a widowed Christian who has lost all sense of human compassion, and more. As Jo-Jo witnesses these experiences, we discover that he serves as the link connecting them all.
