Introduction
These Terms of Use apply to your use of PuralisScan, a document scanning and organization app provided by TS Studios.
By downloading, accessing, or using PuralisScan, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
What PuralisScan Does
PuralisScan helps users digitize, read (via Optical Character Recognition - OCR), and organize physical documents and receipts directly on their device. The app uses local machine learning to assist with suggesting categories or creating "Smart Folders" to help you keep your scanned media organized.
PuralisScan does not guarantee the accuracy of extracted text or automated sorting. Users are responsible for verifying the content of scanned documents.
User Responsibility and Backups (IMPORTANT)
PuralisScan operates completely offline. All scanned documents, extracted text, and folders are stored locally on your physical device.
Backups: TS Studios does not provide cloud storage, synchronization, or remote backups. You are strictly responsible for maintaining external backups of any important documents you scan (e.g., by exporting them to iCloud, Google Drive, or email).
Data Loss: If you delete the app, reset your device, lose your device, or experience a hardware/software failure, your scanned documents may be permanently lost. TS Studios cannot recover or restore lost documents.
Originals: You should retain the physical originals of any legally binding, financial, or otherwise critical documents. TS Studios is not responsible for any consequences arising from the disposal of physical documents.
Privacy and On-Device Processing
PuralisScan is designed with privacy in mind. Document scanning, OCR processing, and media storage are performed entirely on your device. PuralisScan does not upload your documents or extracted text to TS Studios servers.
When exporting a document as a PDF, a brief network call is made to a third-party service to fetch your public IP address for an on-device audit trail. For more information, please read our Privacy Policy.
In-App Purchases and Subscriptions
PuralisScan may offer premium features through in-app purchases, auto-renewable subscriptions, or lifetime access.
Available purchase options may include monthly access, yearly access, and lifetime access. Prices may vary by country or region and are shown in the app and/or in the App Store before purchase.
Monthly and yearly subscriptions are auto-renewable subscriptions. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
Your Apple ID account may be charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current billing period, unless the subscription is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID account settings after purchase.
Lifetime Access
Lifetime access provides access to the premium features available in PuralisScan for as long as the app is supported and available.
Lifetime access does not guarantee that all current features will remain unchanged forever, and it does not include future separate apps or unrelated products from TS Studios.
Payments, Refunds, and Billing
All payments, billing, subscription management, and refunds are handled by Apple through the App Store.
TS Studios does not process payments directly and does not receive your full payment card details.
Refund requests must be made through Apple according to Apple’s App Store policies.
App Availability and Changes
TS Studios may update, improve, change, limit, or remove features in PuralisScan over time.
We aim to keep the app useful, stable, and privacy-focused, but we do not guarantee that the app will always be available, error-free, or compatible with every device or iOS version. Unforeseen bugs or system updates may occasionally affect local data accessibility, which is why external backups are strongly encouraged.
No Warranty
PuralisScan is provided “as is” and “as available”.
We do not guarantee that the app will perfectly crop every document, that the Optical Character Recognition (OCR) will flawlessly read all text, or that Smart Folders will categorize items correctly. You should always verify critical information, such as numbers on receipts or text in legal documents.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TS Studios is not liable for any loss of data, corrupted documents, device issues, missed deadlines, loss of profits, financial discrepancies, or other direct or indirect damages resulting from your use of PuralisScan, unexpected app behavior, or the inability to access your scanned files.
You are fully responsible for reviewing your scanned media and for maintaining external backups of any documents you consider important.
Apple Standard End User License Agreement
Where applicable, Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement applies to your use of PuralisScan. If there is any conflict between these Terms of Use and Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement, Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement applies to the extent required by Apple’s rules.
