TOPIC : WRITING DESCRIPTIVE TEXT
TIME ALLOCATION : 2 JP (80 minutes)
Learning Objectives:
- Students can identify the structure and language features of a descriptive text.
- Students can complete an incomplete descriptive paragraph by adding vivid sensory details, adjectives, and appropriate organization.

Activate prior knowledge by reviewing previous meeting.
Teacher shows a sample and identify parts.
Main Activity (40 minutes)
Students choose one of the 3 incomplete descriptive paragraphs below and complete it with their imagination, using clear adjectives, sensory words, correct tenses, and logical order.

Peer Review & Sharing (15 minutes)
Share the result with a partner and give simple feedback or comments.
Assessment & Reflection (10 minutes)
Student assess their peer with rubric-based assessment from the teacher. Student reflect: "What made your description clear or realistic?"
Criteria:
Use of clear adjectives & sensory language
Clear topic & supporting details
Grammar ( present tense, correct sentence structure)
Organization (logical order)
Closure (5 minutes)
Recap & encourage descriptive writing in everyday life
Ask students: "What was the most interesting from what you have described today?"
Reflect on how description makes writing more alive and clear.
Remedial Task
Target: Students who struggle with vocabulary and structure
Task:
Choose a picture and write 5 sentences describing it
Use a description template with sentence starters
Pair with a peer for support
