Throughout time, gender has been a question and confusion that has been very consistent. The ideology of gender is a topic that developed and took shape around the 1500s-1600s with the persian army. Many of the gender ideologies we are accustomed to today are due to the mere development during that time period and the continued belief of those ideologies throughout time.
In the 21st century gender inequality and gender ideology issues/arguments have been something that have resurfaced in universities, political debates and other forms of advocacy, leading to the true understanding of how these specific ideologies have taken root in the minds of so many. Although culture in some places plays a major part, in the United States ideology we have integrated those into our own ways of life, creating our own type of gender ideologies.
Through this research and discussion, we hope to make clear through simple and understandable means that the gender ideology in the United States are the shared & enforced ideas/rules about gender & how men & women are, and should be. That being said, this platform will help inform and enlighten you that gender ideologies are created in order to control our self perception of ourselves in order to support how our society is shaped & controlled.
Gender inequality can be defined by how men and women are not equal, but we want people to understand here that Gender Inequality really is how, through this enforced ideology of "gender", our country has created these ideas and boundaries of gender, thus creating the inequality in the world. We want you to understand that you have the power to turn back time here and resolve these major issues. It will take a country wide effort but through using our voices and knowledge about this history into the control of power, gender can become what it really is and not a tool used against us.
How people “do gender” is based on the “gender rules”, and how society keeps people within these rules is “gender policing”.
People form their own "gender strategy" in order to navigate their own subconscious view of what gender is to them.
