Terms and Conditions for TruReel – Real Opinions. Real Growth.

Welcome to TruReel. By downloading, accessing, or using the TruReel mobile application ("App"), you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the App.

1. Introduction

TruReel is a short-video social platform that enables users to create, upload, share, discover, and interact with short-form video content.

TruReel is designed to encourage authentic community feedback by allowing users to react to content while protecting the privacy of individual interactions.

These Terms govern your access to and use of the App and all related services provided by TruReel.

2. User Accounts

a. Registration

To use certain features of TruReel, you may create an account using:

• Email and Password

• Google Sign-In

During registration, we may collect:

• Username

• Email address

• Display name

• Profile photo (when available through Google Sign-In)

You agree that all information provided is accurate and up to date.

b. Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

You are responsible for all activities performed under your account.

c. Suspension and Termination

TruReel reserves the right to suspend, restrict, or permanently remove any account that:

• Violates these Terms

• Uploads prohibited content

• Attempts to abuse the platform

• Engages in illegal or fraudulent activities

• Harasses other users

• Attempts to manipulate engagement or platform integrity

Users may delete their account through the App.

3. User Content

a. Ownership

You retain ownership of the videos, images, captions, and other content you upload.

b. License

By uploading content to TruReel, you grant TruReel a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to:

• Store

• Display

• Distribute

• Promote

• Process

• Reproduce

your content solely for operating and improving the platform.

c. Your Responsibility

You are solely responsible for content that you upload.

You agree not to upload content that:

• Violates any law

• Contains hate speech

• Promotes violence

• Contains pornography or sexually explicit material

• Encourages illegal activity

• Violates intellectual property rights

• Contains misleading or fraudulent information

• Contains malware or malicious code

TruReel reserves the right to remove any content that violates these Terms.

4. Community Interactions

TruReel allows users to interact with content through features such as:

• Likes

• Dislikes

• Comments

• Follows

• Video Views

To encourage honest feedback:

• Individual Likes are not publicly displayed.

• Individual Dislikes are not publicly displayed.

• Followers are not publicly disclosed.

• Only aggregate counts may be displayed.

Users should interact respectfully and must not abuse platform features.

5. Privacy of Reactions

One of TruReel's core principles is protecting user privacy.

Accordingly:

• Other users cannot see who liked your content.

• Other users cannot see who disliked your content.

• Other users cannot see who follows your account.

These privacy features may evolve as the platform develops.

6. Permissions

To provide App functionality, TruReel may request permission to access:

Camera

Used to record videos for upload.

Gallery / Photos

Used to select existing videos or images for upload.

Notifications

Future versions of the App may request notification permission to deliver:

• Likes

• Comments

• Replies

• Account updates

• Platform announcements

Location

Currently, TruReel does not collect or use your precise location.

Future versions may introduce optional location-based features. If implemented, users will be asked for permission before location data is collected.

7. Analytics and Platform Improvement

TruReel uses services including:

• Firebase

• Google Analytics

These services help us:

• Improve app performance

• Diagnose crashes

• Measure usage

• Improve user experience

Analytics data is collected in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

8. Prohibited Activities

Users must not:

• Upload illegal content

• Upload copyrighted material without permission

• Impersonate another person

• Harass or threaten users

• Attempt unauthorized access

• Reverse engineer the App

• Use bots or automated tools

• Manipulate engagement metrics

• Distribute malware

• Spam comments or uploads

Violation may result in suspension or permanent account removal.

9. Intellectual Property

All trademarks, logos, software, designs, branding, and App content (excluding user-generated content) belong to TruReel.

You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, or commercially exploit any part of the App without written permission.

10. Third-Party Services

The App may integrate third-party services including but not limited to:

• Google Sign-In

• Firebase Authentication

• Firebase Realtime Database

• Firebase Storage (if used)

• Firebase Cloud Messaging (future)

• Google Analytics

• Cloudflare R2 Storage

These services are governed by their respective terms and privacy policies.

11. Availability

We strive to keep TruReel available at all times.

However, we do not guarantee uninterrupted access.

The App may occasionally be unavailable due to:

• Maintenance

• Server issues

• Security updates

• Network failures

• Third-party service outages

12. Limitation of Liability

TruReel is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TruReel shall not be liable for:

• Loss of data

• Loss of content

• Loss of followers

• Business interruption

• Device damage

• Unauthorized account access resulting from user negligence

• Service outages

• User-generated content

• Disputes between users

13. Future Features

As TruReel evolves, new features may be introduced, including but not limited to:

• Push Notifications

• Messaging

• Live Streaming

• Location-Based Discovery

• Monetization

• Creator Programs

• Premium Features

These Terms shall automatically apply to such features unless otherwise stated.

14. Privacy Policy

Your use of TruReel is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, store, process, and protect your information.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.

When significant changes are made, we may notify users through:

• Email

• Play Store updates

• Our Website

Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

16. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of India.

17. Dispute Resolution

Any dispute arising from these Terms or the use of TruReel shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiations.

If unresolved, disputes shall be subject to arbitration in Mohali, Punjab, India, in accordance with the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996.
