The Annual NSS Camp 2022-2023 at Gram Dakshinamurti Lokshala, Amla, Shihor, Bhavnagar, held from February 5th to February 11th, 2023, provided participants with an invaluable opportunity to engage in community service, teamwork, and experiential learning. Organized under the theme Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav – Panch Prakalp, the camp encouraged students to take on various responsibilities by dividing them into groups and assigning different duties. Each morning began with Prabhat Pheri, a rally aimed at spreading awareness among villagers. Throughout the camp, students actively participated in cleaning initiatives, focusing on maintaining cleanliness in the village, temples, and crematorium, thereby fostering a sense of social responsibility. A key highlight was the visit to Lok Bharti University, Sanosara, where attendees engaged in an insightful session on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and explored innovative agricultural research conducted by university students.

The camp also included a night trek to a mountain, where participants attended a Taramandal session, gaining knowledge about different Nakshatras (constellations). Additionally, a trekking expedition provided students with the opportunity to witness a stunning sunset while enhancing their understanding of nature and survival skills. The camp proved to be a transformative experience, fostering leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities, while reinforcing the values of social service, environmental consciousness, and experiential learning.
