BRC - 2023

From December 21, 2023, to December 30, 2023, Trupti participated in an intensive Basic Rock Climbing Course at the Swami Vivekanand Mountaineering Institute in Mount Abu, organized by the Commissioner of Youth Service and Cultural Activities, Gujarat State, Gandhinagar. During this comprehensive program, Trupti acquired a range of essential skills including fundamental rock climbing techniques, various methods of rappelling, and different styles of climbing, while also learning to handle all the necessary equipment. The course was designed to blend theoretical knowledge with practical applications, culminating in a series of competitions that tested the newly acquired skills.

Through various challenges, including competitions and hands-on training, Trupti learned how to stay focused under pressure and push beyond her limits. The practical and oral examination on the second-to-last day tested both her technical knowledge and problem-solving abilities in real-world climbing scenarios. Successfully completing the course with a B grade gave her a sense of accomplishment and reinforced her ability to adapt, persevere, and remain determined in challenging situations. This experience not only enhanced her outdoor skills but also instilled in her confidence, discipline, and the importance of strategic thinking—qualities that will benefit her in all aspects of life.
