Megalithic monuments and the Bible

How old are the great pyramids and the megalithic monuments?

Can we find a clue in the Bible to explain their origins?

Introduction.

Megalithic monuments like the great pyramids of Giza are still a mystery as to their origin and their raison d'être. Even today, the most eccentric ideas are circulating about them and some of these monuments have even become places of worship for nostalgics of the Celtic religions although it is proven that all these monuments were built a long time before the Celtic period.

In this paper, we will first try to define and describe these monuments.

Then we will review briefly some of their most famous examples found everywhere on earth. We will also try to date them, according to the most realistic hypotheses.

In the last part of this article, we will also try to see if in the biblical accounts, we can find some explanation for their construction and their existence.

Now let us remember first the date of the flood which, according to the estimates of most biblical experts, took place in approximately 2344 BCE.

Megalithic monuments.

Megalithic monuments are constructions made most of the time using gigantic stones, cut and often polished, perhaps even molded and assembled together with generally very great precision and this often without any use of mortar.

The weight of the stones used varies from a few metric tons and can reach several thousand metric tons!

These megalithic monuments are found on almost all continents and these monuments have been abandoned for thousands of years, seeming to be fruit of the work of legendary beings endowed with extraordinary intelligence and power. They are definitely not the work of primitive human beings while the scientific world often describes the Neolithic era as being very primitive.

Aside from here and there, an astronomical explanation for how these buildings are oriented, we have so far not found any reason explaining this clearly.

Examples of megalithic monuments.

Stonehenge.

Stonehenge (Picture 1) is considered as the emblematic site for megalithic monuments.

Stonehenge is located in Wales (Fig. 2) and is made up of a set of concentric circular structures, erected from 2800 BCE.

The diameter of this construction is approximately 100m and some stones weigh several tens of metric tons. A human body was also found nearby whose death dates back to about 2500 years before our era.

The great broken menhir of Er Grah.

This megalith (Pictures 3 and 4) is located in France in Morbihan (Fig. 5). It is a menhir of exceptional dimensions, the largest in Europe with its 18.5 m height when it was erected (20.4 m including the underground part), 3 m width, and its weight is estimated at 280 t.

The megalithic site of Kemerovo.

These megaliths discovered in 2014 in the Kemerovo region of Siberia (Fig. 6), are particularly impressive for their sizes and weights. (Pictures 7 and 8)

Indeed, they form a wall of approximately 40 m high built using cut blocks whose weight can reach 3000mT! The wall has been built with an unbelievable precision.

Sacsayhuaman site in Peru.

Megalithic sites are also found in South America and among them, the city of Sacsayhuaman (Pictures 9 and 10).

Several archaeologists are of the opinion that these constructions could not have been the work of the Incas (13th to 16th centuries) because they did not have any tool suitable for cutting these stones of extremely high hardness. They think that these constructions are much older and date from 2500 years before our era. The weight of some of these stones is estimated at over 125 mT and their almost perfect interlocking is remarkable, not allowing even a credit card to enter the interstices!

Some also hypothesize that these stones having well-rounded corners and sometimes outgrowths of perfect shapes that can nest in perfectly adapted female orifices, have been heated to more than 1000 ° C, to then be molded in the state of a viscous liquid like lava and then cooled.

This other megalithic site is located in north Peru (Picture 11).

Here too, we find cut stones of several tens of metric tons and a building dating from 3000 years before our era.

The town of Tiahuanaco near the Lake Titicaca in Bolivia.

The remains of this city (Picture 12) which was also a port on the shore of Lake Titicaca at an altitude of almost 4000m are still a mystery. The Incas claim that when they arrived, the city of Tiahuanaco was already uninhabited.

The Sun Gate is a monument of approximately 10 mT.

Experts estimate that the date of the construction of Tiahuanaco is earlier than 2,000 years before our era.

Human remains have also been discovered below the waters of Lake Titicaca, as noted by this historian:

"Tiahuanaco has never been completed. The works and representations were stopped as if the civilization which had erected these buildings had suddenly died. It seems likely that a brutal event occurred ... The discovery of a lake flora mixed with human bones would tend to prove that there was a flood. "

Megalithic sites were also found in the Far and Middle East!

Many ignore the existence of megalithic sites in the Far East. Yet we find them in Japan, Indonesia, Korea and India! (Pictures 13 to 16)

The Mediterranean basin and the Middle East are no exception.

The island of Malta has also a megalithic site in Mnajdra, the construction of which dates back to around 3500 years BC (Picture 17)

In Israel, the famous "Wheel of the Giants" was discovered quite recently (Picture 18). It is a megalithic monument of 150m in diameter and dating from 3000 years before our era. This monument is located in northern Israel near Katzrin.

What about the Great Pyramides!

The pyramids of Giza (Picture 19), that is to say those of Khufu, Khéphren and Mykérinos, have kept all their mysteries till today.

Their constructions date back over 3000 years before our era, well before the flood and therefore at a time when, according to biblical writings, ancient Egypt was not even born yet! Although most archaeologists present them as the tombs of the pharaohs, there has never been a tomb in these three pyramids!

Chronology according to the bible and associated events.

The Bible is teaching us that a flood destroyed all living beings, except Noah, his family, the animals in the ark and what is living in the water.

According to most biblical experts, the date on which this flood took place is approximately 2,344 BCE. Fig. 20 gives an idea of ​​the main events that took place before and after the flood until the time of the Messiah and the Roman Empire.

We thus realize that, on the basis of the biblical chronology and archaeological dates, all the megalithic monuments mentioned above and even the pyramids of Giza were built before the flood.

If we continue with this logic, how surprising it may be, we realize that part of the pre-diluvian humanity was endowed with an intelligence at least similar to that of our generation. These people could make use of a gigantic power enabling us to explain these constructions, that are today the silent witnesses of their advanced civilization.

But the bible is mentioning a race of famous giants, the fruit of unnatural relationships between those designated by the sons of Elohim and the daughters of human beings (Genesis 6: 1-8):

" ¹ Now it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born to them, ² that the sons of Elohim saw the daughters of men, that they were beautiful; and they took wives for themselves of all whom they chose.

³ And Yehoah said, “My Spirit shall not strive with man forever, for he is indeed flesh; yet his days shall be one hundred and twenty years.” ⁴ There were giants on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of Elohim came in to the daughters of men and they bore children to them. Those were the mighty men who were of old, men of renown.

⁵ Then Yehoah saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. ⁶ And Yehoah was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart. ⁷ So Yehoah said, “I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth, both man and beast, creeping thing and birds of the air, for I am sorry that I have made them.” ⁸ But Noah found grace in the eyes of Yehoah. "

If we continue with the hypothesis that the writings of the Bible are true, we must admit that Adam and Eve were created as it is written in the image of their Creators, Elohim (Genesis 1):

" ²⁶ Then Elohim said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” ²⁷ So Elohim created man in His own image; in the image of Elohim He created him; male and female He created them. "

It is therefore difficult to imagine the first men resembling primates, even monkeys! To say that the first men were like big monkeys would be an infamous affront to the Lord: to compare him with primates!

No, if the bible is right, Adam and Eve must have been remarkable human beings, and so must have been their children. We can therefore also understand that these men, after multiplying, have, as requested by the Lord, dispersed all over the face of the earth. This can therefore explain all these megalithic constructions that are found on all continents.

It must also be borne in mind that this antediluvian humanity should have only one language because the multiplication of languages ​​was not wanted by the Lord until after the flood, during the construction of the city of Babel.

Another remark is that when we refer to the great pyramids of Egypt and the pharaohs whose names they bear, we make a big mistake because the Egyptians of whom we speak in the bible are descendants of Mizraim, the son of Cham. So Egyptians existed only many years after the flood and not before.

A lats remark about the flood: It consisted in a rise of the level of water resulting from the combination of heavy rain from the sky with a huge influx of water from springs via rivers, seas and oceans. This rising of the waters was done gradually and had only the aim of destroying mankind who had become absolutely bad. Genesis 7: 17-24):

“¹⁷ Now the flood was on the earth forty days. The waters increased and lifted up the ark, and it rose high above the earth. ¹⁸ The waters prevailed and greatly increased on the earth, and the ark moved about on the surface of the waters. ¹⁹ And the waters prevailed exceedingly on the earth, and all the high hills under the whole heaven were covered. ²⁰ The waters prevailed fifteen cubits upward, and the mountains were covered. ²¹ And all flesh died that moved on the earth: birds and cattle and beasts and every creeping thing that creeps on the earth, and every man. ²² All in whose nostrils was the breath of the spirit of life, all that was on the dry land, died. ²³ So He destroyed all living things which were on the face of the ground: both man and cattle, creeping thing and bird of the air. They were destroyed from the earth. Only Noah and those who were with him in the ark remained alive. ²⁴ And the waters prevailed on the earth one hundred and fifty days. "

It must therefore be understood from this that the constructions of the pre-flood period were not destroyed and must have survived after the descent of the waters. It would be these megalithic buildings that raise so many questions today!

These few remarks are in a way resetting the clocks as long as we give the bible some historical value.

Please note also that the flood is a warning to all those who will live at the end of the centuries.

If this account of the flood is given to us in the Bible, it is a kind of serious warning! We must indeed remember that the same causes produce the same effects. At the time of the flood, as is written above, all thoughts of the hearts of men turned daily only to evil.

Yehsuah, when he answered his disciples who questioned him to find out when his advent and the end of this world would be, he replied among others:

" ³⁶ “But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only. ³⁷ But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. ³⁸ For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, ³⁹ and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. "(Matthew 24: 36-39)

This means that at the time of the coming of Yeshuah, men will still have thoughts turned only to evil every day!

It is up to us to know if we want to avoid a new annihilation comparable to what happened at the time of the flood. If the answer is yes, we must imperatively do everything with zeal to copy Noah's attitude and thus hope to escape what is called the hour of trial during the end times, the one described among others in the book of Revelation.

Appendices.

Annex 1.

The information above in no way denies the existence of a population designated as "the caveman" with its numerous drawing on rocks. Indeed, according to biblical writings, during the period preceding the flood, the sons of Cain, the first criminal in human history, were condemned with him to wander without having any place to settle. This means that Cain and his family, throughout their life, had no opportunity to build a home, or even an village, having been condemned to wander and live constantly in fear of being murdered by others!

One can therefore imagine that Cain and his family were forced to live in caves living from hunting and harvesting fruit from the trees, being unable to practice any kind of agriculture.

It should also be noted that the people who lived before the flood had lifetimes much longer than ours: they indeed died at around 700, even 900 years!

It may also explain why the population before the flood has grown much faster than ours, whose average lifespan is only around 50 to 70 years. Before the flood, there was an accumulation of generations, while today, after half a century, successive generations disappear to be replaced by others.

Annex 2.

I also draw your attention to the fact that the Bible also leaves the door open to the existence of a pre-Adamic world. Indeed, from the beginning, it is suggested that the initially perfect creation of the heavens and earth became without form and void, in Hebrew “tohu and bohu” (Genesis 1: 1-2). It is indeed unthinkable that the Lord was at the origin of such a shapeless and void world as is confirmed by the writing in Isaiah 45:18:

" For thus says Yehoah, Who created the heavens, Who is Elohim, Who formed the earth and made it, Who has established it, Who did not create it void,

Who formed it to be inhabited: “I am Yehoah, and there is no other."

So, we can understand that there was a first creation, before that of Adam, and that this pre-Adamic creation had been entrusted to a cherub, Lucifer who became Satan. Unfortunately, this cherub rebelled by dragging a third of the angels into an attempted coup to take power from Elohim. This is what Ezekiel 28: 11-19 describes:

" ¹¹ Moreover the word of Yehoah came to me, saying, ¹² “Son of man, take up a lamentation for the king of Tyre, and say to him, ‘Thus says Yehoah Elohim:

“You were the seal of perfection, Full of wisdom and perfect in beauty.

¹³ You were in Eden, the garden of Elohim; Every precious stone was your covering: The sardius, topaz, and diamond, Beryl, onyx, and jasper,

Sapphire, turquoise, and emerald with gold. The workmanship of your timbrels and pipes Was prepared for you on the day you were created.

¹⁴ “You were the anointed cherub who covers; I established you;

You were on the holy mountain of Elohim; You walked back and forth in the midst of fiery stones.

¹⁵ You were perfect in your ways from the day you were created,

Till iniquity was found in you.

¹⁶ “By the abundance of your trading You became filled with violence within,

And you sinned; Therefore I cast you as a profane thing Out of the mountain of Elohim; And I destroyed you, O covering cherub, From the midst of the fiery stones.

¹⁷ “Your heart was lifted up because of your beauty;

You corrupted your wisdom for the sake of your splendor; I cast you to the ground, I laid you before kings, That they might gaze at you.

¹⁸ “You defiled your sanctuaries By the multitude of your iniquities,

By the iniquity of your trading; Therefore I brought fire from your midst;

It devoured you, And I turned you to ashes upon the earth In the sight of all who saw you.

¹⁹ All who knew you among the peoples are astonished at you;

You have become a horror,

And shall be no more forever.”

It is also of him that Isaiah speaks in Isaiah 14: 11-15:

“¹¹ Your pomp is brought down to Sheol, And the sound of your stringed instruments; The maggot is spread under you, And worms cover you.’

¹² “How you are fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning!

How you are cut down to the ground, You who weakened the nations!

¹³ For you have said in your heart: ‘I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of Elohim; I will also sit on the mount of the congregation

On the farthest sides of the north; ¹⁴ I will ascend above the heights of the clouds,

I will be like the Most High.’ ¹⁵ Yet you shall be brought down to Sheol,

To the lowest depths of the Pit.”

Lucifer, the previously cherub who became Satan the destroyer and today is still the prince of this world. This Satan caused the destruction of our Father's initial creation which is spoken of in Genesis 1: 1! This also explains why Satan is already present in the Garden of Eden where he successfully seduced Eve to disobey his Creator. So, in a non-explicit way, the bible suggests the existence of a pre-Adamic creation with all these prehistoric animals whose bones and fossils are found.

The texts of the new testament inform us moreover that these fallen angels are intended for a judgment still to come:

· II Peter 2: 4: “For if Elohim did not spare the angels who sinned, but cast them down to hell and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved for judgment; … ”

· Jude 1: 6: “And the angels who did not keep their proper domain, but left their own abode, He has reserved in everlasting chains under darkness for the judgment of the great day;"
