Coach Santiago begins his 1st year at North Crowley High School and 23rd overall. Most recently Coach Santiago spent the last 2 years at Brewer High School as the associate head baseball coach. Prior to Brewer he was the head baseball coach at Chisholm Trail HS for 4 years. He is originally from Killeen, Texas where he graduated from Killeen High School in 1992. During his high school playing career, he received several all-tournament selections and was an All-District 2nd baseman. After high school, he attended The University of Mary-Hardin Baylor in Belton, Texas. There he played baseball for the Crusaders as a middle infielder. Prior to his coaching career Coach Santiago was a Dallas Police Officer from 1998 to 2001. In 2001, he began his coaching career at Everman High School as an assistant baseball and assistant football coach. During that time, he received his Master of Liberal Arts Degree from Texas Christian University in Ft. Worth, Texas. In 2005, Coach Santiago accepted a position as an assistant baseball coach at then-named Pensacola Junior College. Responsibilities included assist in the recruitment of student-athletes, coaching outfielders, hitters, and was the first base coach on game days. During his time at PJC, he was fortunate to be able to coach several players that were drafted to play professional baseball, including Washington Nationals 2016 11th round pick Armond Upshaw, St Louis Cardinal 2007 38th round pick and 2011 World Series Champion outfielder Adron Chambers, 2007 St. Louis Cardinals 25th round pick D'Marcus Ingram, and Kansas City Royals 2006 15th round pick Nick Francis. Many others went on to play at four-year universities across the country. Coach Santiago returned to Everman High School to become associate head baseball coach. During his 9 years at Everman, those teams qualified for the playoffs 4 of those years. In 2012, Coach Santiago accepted the Head Baseball Coaching position at Davis High School in Houston, Texas. Davis baseball was successful in that first year of play. After that year Coach Santiago was offered and accepted an assistant baseball coaching position at Pensacola State College in Pensacola Florida. From 2013-2016 Coach Santiago was responsible for coaching outfielders, hitters, and assisted in recruiting student-athletes. During his time in Pensacola, the teams achieved several Region 8 top 10 rankings and top 25 national rankings. In 2016, Coach Santiago and his family decided to move back to Houston, Texas. He accepted a baseball coaching position at Splendora High School. Coach Santiago spent one year at Splendora as the associate head baseball coach. After one season he moved on to coach at Aldine MacArthur. While at MacArthur in 2017 the team made the playoffs in Class 6A.
Coach Santiago and his beautiful wife Keri have two children, Mckaylah and Zane both attend EMS schools.
