Music Director
A native of Flemington, New Jersey, Adam has devoted his life to the multi-faceted field of music and music education. He is ecstatic to be a part of True Voice Project, as it has given him the opportunity to provide a creative outlet for himself as well as a number of amazing young musicians in the community he grew up in.
His devotion and hard, passionate work in the world of music began at the age of 9 when he first took up drums and percussion. By the age of 14, Adam found himself gigging with a number of bands on drums, guitar, bass, and singing. While continuing to improve his skills in performing rock and roll in a live setting, he also participated in school bands, string orchestras, choirs and even school musicals, and took multiple music courses to enhance his diverse training. In college Adam focused his talents on voice and percussion, and his expansive knowledge of multiple instruments earned him the role of musical director in a number of musicals, most notably the Livingston Theater Company's production of The Who's "TOMMY."
Adam plays the drums and sings in the New Jersey Post Ska band The Waffle Stompers, a band that has toured relentlessly for 13 years nationally (35 states) and internationally (Canada, France). The group has also appeared on television a number of times, most notably on France's show "The Cover" and New York's "The Today Show".
In the Fall of 2013, Adam was asked to become the choir director of the women's concert choir at an Arts school in Flemington. In order to set the group apart, he was also encouraged to take the group in a "new direction." The choir's name was changed to the True Voice Project, and the philosophy changed to balance the power between the singer and the director. After six successful years and a move to becoming its own independent entity, Adam is excited for the choir to grow into a successful and fun community of musicians dedicated to creating and contributing to the most valuable experiences possible.
Adam holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Rutgers University, where he concentrated on a variety of instruments as well as pursued extensive studies in music theory and history. In addition, he received his NJ teaching certification and Masters of Music Education from Westminster Choir College in Princeton, New Jersey.
