Spelling Mistakes
Take advantage of sellers poor English skills and find items which will not show in typical search reducing competition. Use the mistakes field in Trove to capitalize on this.
Overlooked Items
Now and again the world overlooks an auction which a seller has started at a very low price expecting a bidding war. Filtering for zero bid items can expose you to a truly epic barging.
Set Alerts for New and Ending Items
Rather than constantly check your laptop or phone use Trove's automated system to do the checking for you. This will save time and reduce the chance of missed items.
Local Bargains
As these items are limited to people within a geographic location there is lower completion and hence lower bids. Use your postcode in Trove to find local deals.
Sniping Tools
You should never bid on an item early, as this just raises the end price for everyone. Auctions should always be "sniped" in the dying seconds. Trove will alert you to all matching items ending soon, increasing your opportunities to snipe.
Include Deliver Charges
To ensure you are truly getting a bargain be sure to include all postage costs. Trove offers this feature in the settings.
Search listing description
By default eBay will search using the listings title only, this can be expanded to include the description also. This eliminates the risk of missing a listing which may not be correctly titled.
Seller Feedback
Always consider a sellers feedback rating before purchasing to avoid getting into trouble. A rule of thumb is to only deal with positive feedback in the very high nineties and a score of at least 40. Use Trove to filter listings from low review sellers.
Pay by PayPal
Using PayPal you are covered by eBay's Money Back Guarantee scheme increasing your chance of refund if you are unhappy with an item. Trove can filter for only listing which offer PayPal.
