Scoutmaster Greeting:

Welcome to the Troop 835 website, and thank you for visiting!  BSA Troop 835 is based in Chapel Hill, NC.  Our focus is on camping, scout advancement, and fun!

Troop 835 is all about adventure and advancement. We take our tents, backpacks, bikes, and boats all over North Carolina. From the mountains to the sea, and many points beyond. We pride ourselves on being a supportive and family-friendly troop where our scouts can practice skills and earn the experience that will take them through the ranks of Scouting or toward success in whatever great things await them. Along the path to Eagle, we want our Scouts to learn, lead, and plan. They’ll work hard and play hard, making lifelong friends along the way.

Troop 835 is an integrated, co-ed troop which meets at the “Scout Hut” east of Amity United Methodist Church (where you buy your Christmas trees and Halloween pumpkins) on Wednesday evenings, 7:30 to 9:00, during the school year. We’d love it if you’d come to a meeting to meet us and join in our own special brand of fun.  We welcome all, regardless of race, creed, gender, gender identity, or disability.

Please contact us if you have any questions. Thanks!
